Buzz Bee Ultimate Missile Blast Mod and Review

The successor to the Big Blast, the Ultimate Missile Blast had a lot to live up to.  Unfortunately, this blaster has really been largely ignored on the whole and can be made into a fantastic, powerful blaster.  Read on to find out how.

Berserker Mods

The Berserker is a great all-purpose primary for a low price.  But modded, it can be so much more effective.  My mods increase range to 50' and give it capability to use any 1/2" PVC barrel attachment.

Nerf Deploy Review and Mod

My Deploy mod (and review)

The Review

Overall, the Deploy has taken a lot of criticism, and I want to defend it, just a little.  It is a reshelled Recon, which is nothing that I am a fan of.  However, suppose one didn't have a Recon.  Or Alpha Trooper or Longstrike or Raider.  Or they just thought it a neat gimmick and something new and unorthodox and gave it a try.

Mega Missile Mod

The Buzz Bee Mega Missile is a mixed bag, but overall I think it does not get the attention it deserves.

Homemade PVC bow

It's not often that I make homemades, but this one I felt was worth mention.

Note:  Since making this bow, I have made not one, but two more!  Read about them >here<

Super Soaker CPS 1000 Review

The Super Soaker CPS 1000 is a rare blaster from the Third Age of Super Soakers.  It was released back in 1998 and is still an excellent blaster.

Mini Double Shot Mod

The popular opinion once the Barrel Break was released was "Great, now we can get rid of our old Double Shots, those were horrible anyway."  However, the Double Shot has fantastic mod potential that the Barrel Break lacks.

Obviously, a lot of this mod is aesthetic improvement and minimization.  The internals are very different now too.  The mods I did were

Super Soaker XP 95 Review

The Super Soaker XP is a very old water blaster from 1995.  I'm impressed that it still works.

A Nerfy Song

One day I just had a random idea while messing around with a Maverick and it built into this very unique song.  I actually made it a while ago but only recently realized I should share it.  Sorry the sound quality isn't the best, it got a little worse when I uploaded it.  Enjoy, and make sure to watch for the epic RF20 solo ;)

Vortex Proton Review

I was very interested in Nerf's new Vortex series when I first found out about them.  However, I didn't necessarily want to spend $25 on a Praxis or double that on the Nitron, so I decided on the Proton, the smallest Vortex blaster.  Did it live up to the hype?  Read more to find out.

Modding tools and materials

What do you need to be able to modify foam dart shooting blasters?  What are the necessary tools that you will need to be able to do mods?  What materials will you need to purchase?  It's hard to say, but here's my breakdown on the topic.

My interchangeable 1/2" PVC barrel attachments

My many interchangeable barrel attachments.  Every one of them works on a blaster with a 1/2" PVC coupler on the end.  They are best on airguns.  Some examples of ones I have modded that work well for this are the Titan, Berserker, Mega Missile, and PAS (Pump action shotgun).  More pictures and descriptions after the jump.

PistolSplat Modification

To start off my mods, I have a simple yet clean mod on one of my all time favorite blasters, the PistolSplat.

It's pretty simple really, as the PistolSplat is a great blaster already and one of the only pistols I actually like.  I took out the spare spring in front of the plunger, which reduces plunger velocity.  I then replaced the existing barrel with 1/2" CPVC.  Pretty standard.  I made some other updates too, that I haven't seen done anywhere else.  I sawed off the trigger guard because it was uncomfortable and added a 3/4" CPVC outer barrel that nests the 1/2" inside.  I'm not sure whether it actually improves performance, but may add a slight advantage in power and accuracy, as it keeps the front barrel straight, guides the dart and channels the air behind the dart.  Hypothetically :p
